The artist I decided to write about this month is 98 Rock Noise in the Basement veterans, Maryland's Most Wanted. MMW is made up of 2 hardcore white boys from Glen Burnie representing the lowest of the low. They describe their sound as being "straight underground, beneath the pavement, dirty, greasy, grimy, mother-f***ing Hardcore Horror-core!" These guys are obviously heavily influenced by I.C.P. which is made clear in the song "Average Lo."

After seeing these guys a few times down Bourbon Street, I decided to learn a little more about them. I went to there Myspace to check out there bio and see what the page had to offer. Their music box starts off with the song "Epid3mic." I wasn't a huge fan of this song.  The beat was lacking and the rhymes were coming at me so fast it sounded like nothing more than a jumble of words. Then the song "Juggernaut" came on. The music of this song sounded exactly like "Epid3mic" only the lyrics were a little easier to understand, yet still sub-par. They do something with their voices to make them sound scratchy and I'm not really into that. On stage, Suspect holds it down with a calm demeanor, while Blade works the crowd from side to side waving his arms and getting the crowd pumped up.
These guys do have a small following though, and every time they get down Bourbon Street the drinks are flowing. They put on a decent show and have a clear vision of what it is that they want. These guys are Noise In The Basement veterans and will be performing at yet another Noise In The Basement in October with Rebel Inc. They can fit on bills with rock bands, as well as shining bright on the hip-hop stage. They have a versatility that a lot of rappers just don't have, being able to shape shift and blend in with there surroundings.
They have been around a few minutes and it's not likely that will change. Be on the lookout for Maryland's Most Wanted, they might be out back spray painting your mothers car, or upstairs knocking up your little sister. Most likely you will catch them on stage doing their thing, stringing rhymes together and making a name for themselves in here and out there on the mean streets of Harm City!
Maryland's Most Wanted can be found on Myspace and Facebook and you can follow them on Twitter. There is really no excuse for you not to know who these guys are and if you aren't at their next show, you're a tool! If you like I.C.P. or if you just like some grimy a** hip-hop, check out Maryland's Most Wanted and smoke one to the dome! You'll be glad you did!

These men have talent. Not entirely my sound/scene, but thoroughly entertaining, and lyrically intelligent! Hit the motherf**kers up on faceb.
