It's not easy to put together an all metal, all original line-up of bands that mesh well together. Well, we did it, folks.

Ten Feet Thick hit the stage around 9pm. These guys know how to open a show, that's for sure. I'd never seen them before, but had heard many good things. I was far from disappointed. I can't tell you the names of their songs, or the words to them. But what I can tell you is, the Shockwave staffers at the show thoroughly enjoyed the band's music.

Next up was Xstrophy. WOW I say. What power these guys bring to the stage. I'd reviewed their CD before, so I knew what to expect. Or so I thought. I was blown away by them to say the very least. I really hate to compare bands, especially since they actually mentioned this comparison before, but if you like old-school Metallica, you should definitely make it a point to see them.

Serial Attraction was our last band for the night. I am so glad we booked them. Young, fun, LOUD and full of energy would be the way I describe them. I kind of already knew some of their stuff, via Facebook, so I was excited to hear them play, especially their song, "Whipping Boy". Damn I love that song! Needless to say, the show closed out with a bang.

And there you have it. Another year in the books for Shockwave Magazine. Happy holidays to all, from one of the biggest Scrooges you'll ever meet.
