LIVE PERFORMANCE OF NEW SONG AT THE
REVOLVER GOLDEN GODS AWARDS THIS WEEK

Five Finger Death Punch has announced the band will release their fourth studio record as a double album in two installments with Vol. 1 hitting stores on July 23 and Vol. 2 scheduled for later this fall. Prospect Park will release the albums in North America, Eleven Seven in all other territories. Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Zoltan Bathory reveals, "We came off the road after a couple of great years of touring and were really amped up to write the 4th record. Everybody was in the right headspace and the band tighter than ever so it was a perfect storm. We jumped in head first and found ourselves 12-13 songs deep fairly quick but were still coming up with better and better material so we looked at each other and said.... ok why stop there ?... let's keep going. Once we passed the 24th song we knew we're going to have to do a double album. We had this massive amount of music that's very dear to us, possibly the best material this band has ever created. At that point there was no way to decide which songs to leave off the album. So we made the decision to release them all."

The band will be kicking off the new album cycle by introducing the first single, "Lift Me Up" with a live performance featuring a very special surprise guest at Revolver Magazine's Golden Gods Awards ceremony in Los Angeles this Thursday where the band will appear live alongside Metallica, Stone Sour and Halestorm amongst others. The show will be streaming live on AXS TV and Xbox LIVE: http://t.ymlp257.net/ywbaiaqyjwapauysadausjjy/click.php. The studio version of the song will premiere in the U.S. on radio on May 13 and will be available for purchase online May 14.

In June, Five Finger Death Punch will return to Europe for a tour of major festivals including Sweden Rock (6/06), Germany's Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park (6/08 and 6/09) and the U.K.'s Download Festival at Donington Park (6/16) (see full schedule below) concluding the run with a performance at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Ceremony in London.

Upon the band's return to the U.S., the band will co-headline the 2013 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival alongside Rob Zombie kicking off in San Bernadino, CA at the San Manuel Amphitheatre on June 29. The travelling festival will stage appearances in 26 markets, and the full itinerary can be viewed here: www.fivefingerdeathpunch.com/tour/

Five Finger Death Punch has released three consecutive RIAA gold certified albums for sales exceeding 500,000 copies. The success of The Way of The Fist (2007), War Is The Answer (2009) and American Capitalist (2011), which debuted at number 3 on the Billboard charts in October, 2011, exhibit the band as one of the few in the rock genre to consistently see significant sales both digitally and physically. The band's ten consecutive Top 10 radio hits - including 2012's #1 hit "Coming Down - have spawned cumulative single sales of over 4.2 million. Going back to "The Bleeding" in the spring of 2008, Five Finger Death Punch has consistently been one of the most heavily played bands at rock radio.

DISTURBED GUITARIST DAN DONEGAN AND DRUMMER MIKE WENGREN ANNOUNCE NEW SIDE PROJECT, FIGHT OR FLIGHT
Written by Vince Anderson    Thursday, 25 April 2013 16:12    PDF Print E-mail
Dan Donegan, guitarist for multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated hard rock band Disturbed, has unveiled his new project, Fight or Flight. Fight or Flight will release their debut album, A Life by Design? on July 23rd via Warner Bros. Records. The first single, "First of the Last" will be hits radio May 21st.

"During our hiatus from Disturbed, the separation anxiety from the fans came rather quickly," explains Donegan. He began writing songs on his own, and last year connected with Dan Chandler, front man for the band Evan's Blue, about a possible collaboration. The two emailed each other songs back and forth and met in person whenever Chandler was in Donegan's hometown of Chicago. When they had enough material to record, Donegan turned to his "Disturbed brother of over twenty years," drummer Mike Wengren and the three entered the studio.

The result is a collection of hypnotic and hard-hitting songs fortified by Donegan's trademark riffing andChandler's melodic sensibility. Ra's Sean Corcoran on bass and backing vocals, and Jeremy Jayson on guitar and backing vocals complete Fight of Flight's lineup.

A SOUND OF THUNDER Release Lyric Video and Free Download
Written by Steve Higgs    Tuesday, 09 April 2013 15:08    PDF Print E-mail

The official lyric video for the song "I Will Not Break" from American metal merchants A SOUND OF THUNDER can be seen below. The track comes off the band's new album "Time's Arrow", which will be released on June 4th via Mad Neptune Records.

The song is also streaming and available as a free download at the band's ReverbNation page here.

Known for their total disregard of trends, with "Time's Arrow" A SOUND OF THUNDER have maintained their unique blend of metal, prog, and classic rock, while raising the stakes in terms of song-writing, performance, and production. "We haven't intentionally changed direction at all," said guitarist Josh Schwartz. "We've just continued writing what we love and writing quality songs, although this album did turn out a bit heavier, darker, and faster than the last one. "Time's Arrow" is basically "Out of the Darkness" on steroids," said Schwartz, referring to the band's previous album released on Nightmare Records in 2012.

A SOUND OF THUNDER recorded "Time's Arrow" at Assembly Line Studios with producer Kevin '131' Gutierrez (SHINEDOWN, WHILE HEAVEN WEPT, DECEASED).

The 64-minute, 11-song album includes a duet between ex-IRON MAIDEN vocalist Blaze Bayley and A SOUND OF THUNDER vocalist Nina Osegueda on the brooding, Black Sabbath-inspired "My Disease". Other songs set to appear on the album include "Queen of Hell", which was previewed on a limited EP earlier this year, "I'll Walk With You", a zombie epic inspired by The Walking Dead television series, and the monumental 10-minute title track "Time's Arrow".

A SOUND OF THUNDER will also break new ground by issuing a short story, penned by drummer Chris Haren, expanding on the story told in the lyrics of the title track.

"Time's Arrow" is available for pre-order in a variety of formats via ASoundOfThunderBand.com.

Pre-Order Options:

* Standard CD album

* Deluxe Box Set: a limited edition 12-inch clamshell box which contains: CD, metallic art print, 9" x 9" booklet including "Time's Arrow" short story by Chris Haren, 4" embroidered patch, wristband, and engraved shotglass.

* Standard vinyl

* Limited blue vinyl

In addition, through April 12th fans have the opportunity to have their names printed in the CD and vinyl credits, and gain access to a collection of unreleased archival recordings, through a number of pre-order options.

A SOUND OF THUNDER will embark on a series of dates this spring in support of "Time's Arrow", including providing tour support for RAVEN on upcoming "All For One Forever" shows celebrating the 30th anniversary of the "All For One" album.

A SOUND OF THUNDER's last album, "Out of the Darkness", was released on March 27, 2012 via Nightmare Records.
